Generating Profit and Loss Report(With and Without Tracking Categories)

  1. Connect Your Organization

    • Ensure your organization is connected to Accounting Bi. If not, follow the guide "Connecting Accounting Bi to Xero".
  2. Generate the Chart of Accounts Report

    • Ensure the Chart of Accounts report has already been generated. Refer to the "Chart of Accounts Report" guide if needed.

Generating the Profit and Loss Report

  1. Access the Reports Tab

    • On the Accounting Bi dashboard, click on the "Reports" tab.

  2. Select the Profit and Loss Report

    • In the "Reports" tab, click on "Profit and Loss Report."
  3. Configure Report Options

    • From: Enter the starting date of the month.
    • To: Enter the ending date of the month. Ensure you select a full 31-day month.
    • Periods: Enter the number of months back you want the report to cover.
    • Standard Layout: Not to select.
    • Month Parameter: Not to select.

  4. Select Tracking Categories (Optional)

    • If you want to include tracking categories, select the appropriate tracking categories in the extra section.
         
  5. Submit the Request

    • Click the "Submit" button to request the Profit and Loss Report.

  6. Confirmation Notification

    • A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen indicating that your request has been successfully submitted.
  7. Monitor Report Status

    • A popup notification will appear to inform you that request has been successfully submitted.
    • To know whether report is completed or not you can click on "Refresh Reports" Button and Current Status will be shown as "Completed" if completed.

  8. Fetch the Report

    • After the report is completed, you can fetch the Profit and Loss Report in Excel and Power BI to analyze Financial Data.
